Scaffolding Standards and Regulations
Working on scaffolding always involves some risk. A dangerous accident can happen at any time given, which is why this type of activity is regulated by the standards and regulations for the use of scaffolding, the fulfillment of which must always be mandatory. Scaffolding is often an indispensable element of work at height. What do the regulations in force say about the sale and use of scaffolding?
Certification is voluntary
It is a common opinion, especially among people not related to the construction industry, that the sale of scaffolding without the “B” mark is illegal. Nothing could be more wrong – in Poland their certification is completely voluntary, so the manufacturer is not obliged to carry it out. This is due to the fact that before the scaffolding is put into use , it must be accepted, so any structures that do not meet the applicable standards will be excluded from use anyway.
The scaffolding legal standards must be met
In the case of renovation and construction works, the priority is always the safety of the people who carry out these works. Despite the lack of certification obligation, scaffolding must meet a number of standards and regulations.
All the above-mentioned provisions that are supposed to be met are specified in the “Regulation of the Minister of Spatial Economy and Construction of March 28, 1972 on occupational health and safety during construction, assembly and demolition works. “
If you want to enter a new European market, you must properly adapt to its requirements. In each country, the standards may be slightly changed, and when sold, they require the fulfillment of appropriate certifications.

Reception of scaffolding
The use of the scaffolding is allowed after its acceptance by the site manager or an authorized person and confirmed with an entry in the construction log or in the technical acceptance protocol. Therefore, we are sure that all standards and regulations concerning the scaffolding have been met and that the maximum safety of people working on and in the vicinity of the scaffolding has been ensured.
